MacGuffin Magazine – Issue #16 - The Mirror

MacGuffin’s latest issue turns its attention to The Mirror, exploring the familiar object from every possible angle.

Divided into three sections Self, Shadow and Space the issue moves from Narcissus and the rise of the “fit check” to mirrors in cinema, architecture, art and design. Along the way, it explores everything from animal self-recognition and mirror writing to gym selfies, mirrored sunlight and Ettore Sottsass’s iconic Ultrafragola.

Featuring contributions from photographer Shahram Saadat, designer Sabine Marcelis, architect Sam Jacob, visual artist Iriée Zamblé and many more, Issue 16 is a beautifully designed exploration of reflection, identity and the strange ways an ordinary object can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us.
